Herberg Welgelegen has a total of six double rooms and two triple rooms, making it suitable for a maximum of 18 hotel guests. Our rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. You will find peace and quiet and a wonderfully spacious bed. You have your own bathroom with toilet and luxurious walk-in shower. All rooms have a TV, free WiFi, air conditioning and a seating area. In addition to our regular rooms, you can also opt for the suite or the tower room. Our tower rooms have a direct view of the water.
Contactless check-in | Are you arriving outside the regular check-in time? No problem. You will receive a personal access code for this and will be provided with the necessary information in advance. This way you can travel to our inn quietly and you are not bound by a time. This way you can spend the day relaxed.
Are you coming by car? De Herberg has private parking.
Is the tower room something for you? | With a beautiful view of the beautiful Oude Rijn through a unique bay window! This also applies to our chapel. Specially designed for those looking for tranquility.
Suite (see photo) | A pearl among the rooms. For those who allow themselves some extra luxury. Or book it for your wedding night! Complete with sitting area and electric fireplace. You will lack nothing in this very spacious room. A luxurious bathroom and a lovely double bed.

We serve a fresh breakfast at your table, where you look out over the water. Enjoy your cappuccino and various homemade products from the kitchen of our kitchen brigade. Welgelegen’s kitchen offers a sheltered workplace to people who are at a distance from the labor market. A talented group of (young) adults and our strength(s) in the kitchen; the kitchen staff. Together they work on a valuable, beautiful and, above all, professional product.
Private garden |
The garden next to our hotel is accessible with your room key. A nice place to sit down with a drink and watch all the life on the water. You will be amazed at the large ships that glide past us. A beautiful sight.
Environment | Dunes, forest and beach are within cycling distance. Or how about a visit to Keukenhof Lisse or our Key City Leiden; birthplace of Rembrandt van Rijn. And for those who prefer to travel by public transport, there is a bus stop a five-minute walk from our Inn. From Leiden Central you can easily transfer to various beautiful cities. How about a day in Amsterdam?
Additional care needs? | The Herberg has a lift and a spacious disabled toilet. Where possible, we are happy to help you with the use of aids such as a shower chair and extra support in the bathroom. This makes you all feel welcome!
